Prepositions Prepositions are words that show a relationship between a noun and another word.

Prepositions relationship between a noun and another word. They can indicate: location: at Mimi’s house time: at noon OR direction: above the TV ALL prepositions provide extra details: from my parents, by myself relationship between a noun and another word.

Prepositional phrases PREPOSITION + Sometimes a helping word (the, a or an) NOUN (person, place, or thing)

For Example: on is the preposition the is helping word The puppy is (on the floor). on is the preposition the is helping word (also called an article) floor is the noun

Identify the Prepositional phrases Maura’s cat pushed the toy under the table in the kitchen. In New York, we walked across a bridge with interesting statues. The leaves changed from green to red.
