A.P Timeline

Timeline part 1 Take 3-5 minutes and briefly list all the important events that have happened to your life. The more you write the easier part 2 will be Example: Mrs. Benda Learned how to walk, use the toilet, went to K, switched to public school, middle school. Hs, learned how to drive, went WMU, got masters from WSU, meet Kris, got married, had Sophia, had Cece, adopted two kittens, got my job at OpHS, started waiting tables …. ETC I have at least 10 facts on me that represent my ENTIRE life y or n

Timeline part 2 Now places them in chronology order and divide them into 5-7 sections. You will need to be able to examine why that event is a “NEW PHASE” in your life. Teacher Model Phase 1: Baby to K: Learned how to walk, use the toilet, went to K, Phase 2: switched to public school, middle school. : Hs, learned how to drive, Phase 3: COLLEGE: went WMU, got masters from WSU, Phase 4: Life after college worked at Havenwyck, adopted two kittens, got my job at OpHS, started waiting tables, started waiting tables Phase 5: married life: meet Kris, got married, had Sophia, had Cece, adopted two kittens, got my job at OpHS, I have my facts sort into 5-7 Eras and it labeled with a category title that demonstrated that stage in your life y or n

Timeline part 3/4 Meet with your table and compare journal list of important events/groups etc throughout world history . Construct a brainstorm I have 30-50 events, people, empires etc in my brainstorm y or n Next place the events in chronically order and break them into time periods. Justify why you placed all those events into one “category”. You can work as a table but you will need to complete your own individual timeline. I have sort those facts into 6 historical ERAS and it labeled with a category title that demonstrated that stage in world history y or n

Timeline part 4: Meet with your table and compare list. Add/Delete to your brainstorm as needed. Next place the events in chronically order and break them into time periods. Justify why you placed all those events into one “category”. You can work as a table but you will need to complete your own individual timeline.

Timeline part 5: how did we do? Era 1: The beginning in history 80,000 BCE- 500 BCE Era 2: The classical Eras: 500-600 CE Era 3: An Age of Accelerating Connections/Post Classical Era 500 CE-1500 Era 4: Early Modern World 1450-1750 Era 5: The European Moment: 1750-1914 Era 6: The Most recent era 1914-now

TimeLine preview Rubric: Day 1 I have at least 10 facts on me that represent my ENTIRE life y or n I have my facts sort into 5-7 Eras and it labeled with a category title that demonstrated that stage in your life y or n I have 30-50 events, people, empires etc in my brainstorm y or n I have sort those facts into 6 historical ERAS and it labeled with a category title that demonstrated that stage in world history y or n _____________________________________________________/40 points

Timeline Part 2: The Project Each ERA needs a paragraph explanation Important, events, people, empires placed on a timeline On the back the change and continuity of the time

Part 1: Paragraph: ERA 7: The digital age: Teacher Model DESCRIBATION Ear 7 the digital age is hallmarked by the introduction to the internet and cell phones. This leads to various changes in how we communicate and function. It leads to smart phones where in an instant you can goggle basically everything. It also has affected the way people form groups, but positively and negatively. It helps peaceful protestors fight for their cases easier, but it also fuels hate group and fake new that can harm a society. This ERA is also noted for an increase and change in how people fight, via terrorist groups, not countries as much.

Timeline 1980’s= cell phone 1990’s = internet 9-11 2001= 9-11 terrorist attack on America 2001: War in Iraq 2006: North Korea tests their first nuclear weapon 2010?- smart phones (someone google that lol) 2015 the rise of ISIS

Change and continuity Change Cont Information can been received and spread QUICKLY The way we fight our view countries vs groups How we “market ourselves” (value followers and reality stars) Information is desired and needs to be examined (always consider the source lol) There is still violence and hate  People want to fit in and make $, be popular ETC
