Sixth Former Matt gains sought-after apprenticeship with Google
Matt Quinney (18) was one of 800 who applied for a marketing apprenticeship with Google. The internet giant called 120 of them for group interviews at its headquarters in Marble Arch, London. Matt was then recalled along with 40 others for a ‘Google Assessment’
Matt says, “In the interview with Google, they were really interested in the Business Challenge we undertake here at Maplesden and were impressed that I had developed so many key skills during the experience.”
The story not in the papers… Business Challenge is in its eleventh year All Year 12 students work with real businesses for 2 weeks on a challenge set by the business They compete to win £1000 in a Dragons Den final Many have gone on to apprenticeships afterwards
