 60% of teenagers have been asked for sexual images of themselves. (NSPCC/ChildLine. 2013) In Derby City, sexting incidents have been reported in our local authority from children from year 4 upwards. As a parent, if you discover sexting images on your child’s phone from someone else, secure the device & switch it off. Then report it. Don’t save it, don’t forward it or show it to anyone as you will then be responsible for distribution. https://www.psni.police.uk/contentassets/fae34aff4af6409e9ad393130043ec55/sexting__the_law_leaflet_trifold.pdf
