In September we will be…. Introducing a theme to our busy feet sessions. This terms theme will be all about health and hygiene and will be providing the children with a variety of different activities to help them understand the importance of oral health. We have also purchased a new CD for more busy feet songs. EYFS link – Knowledge and understanding of the world and personal, social and emotional development.

Parent stay and play sessions Forest school sessions In September 2017, we will be introducing forest school sessions to the nursery on Monday mornings. This will be with Sabira who is a qualified Montessori teacher and forest school educator. She will be working alongside the team to provide these sessions that take place outside. Please do ask Aisha for more information. Parent reminders Please can I remind all parents that the children’s shoes must be suitable for nursery. We do not allow the children to wear open toe sandals for health and safety reasons, and if you can avoid shoe laces as it becomes tricky for children to be independent with taking them on and off during busy feet sessions. Thank you Parent stay and play sessions We are very keen to develop our parent partnership and would love to show you some of the activities that we do at the nursery. If you are able to come in at all during the week – for a play sessions or to take part in a specific activity we would be very grateful. Activities to try at home: We are in the process of creating activities that you can borrow to help with learning with your child at home. If you have any ideas or you would like anything specific, please do let the team know. Parent partnership: On Monday 18th September we will be holding a workshop for parents. This will be run by Kim from Hillview children’s centre and will be from 1.30pm. Kim will discuss the importance of oral health and well as give healthy eating tips. Please let Deval know if you have any questions or if you would like to book a space on this workshop. Lunch and snacks From September we will be providing breakfast between 8 and 8.30. This will be cereals and toast. We will also be providing fresh meals throughout the day once the extension has been completed.
