Room 12 Expectations

Morning Good Morning Enter with a level 1 voice. Walking only. Sign in. Hang up backpack. Put chairs down, if the person next to you isn’t here yet please take down their chair too. Get out computer By 8:45 you are in your seat working number of the day. Voice = 0. If you are done you may book shop or read quietly. Jobs Monday Folders - Kelton Pencil Sharpener - Malick Attendance Taker - James Chair Patrol - Jessica

Consequences Step 1:     A verbal warning that the behavior is inappropriate (Teacher writes name on personal Clipboard) Step 2:    Think Chair for 5 minutes in the classroom.  Step 3:     Fill out “Focus Form” outside of the classroom in the pod or buddy classroom, copy sent home  – Appropriate point on Bloomz with explanation of incident and request for confirmation of receipt. If no Bloomz account then an email will be sent.   Step 4:     Student sent to Mrs. Beaurain’s office to problem solve *Step 5:   Student Sent to the office to see Ms. Sanders/Mrs. Hodges/Mrs. Beaurain, receiving an office referral (based on the severity of disruption in the classroom) (*student may be on STEP 5 immediately depending on the severity of student’s choices)                  Office Referral needs to be signed by parent and returned the next day.

Be respectful Listen When student is called on say “name name name” When turn is over say “Student’s cool” When waiting for your turn make sure you have your sharing ready, After circle quickly and quietly go directly to your seat

Math Computer Log in. Raise your hand if you need help. Play the game until you get to the green light. VOICE = 0 If you get done you may play a math game with a friend that is also done. VOICE = 1 Clean up game when you are done Small Group – bring whiteboard, pencil, clock and workbook Practice clocks with partner until instruction begins. VOICE = 1 Follow Circle expectations. Clean up area when you are done

Scoops One person using scoop seat Sitting on seat without tipping over Sitting down without slanting completely in seat Without losing your balance Feet flat on Floor

Snack Get out your food quietly and quickly. No wandering, stay in your seat while you are eating. When you are done eating clean up your desk and throw garbage in the trash. Take a look around your area and pick up or clean anything that needs to be cleaned or organized. Nothing on the floor (no pencils, garbage or papers). Desk is cleared off before recess.

Lining up and walking in line When called to line up, line up quietly and quickly. VOICE = 0 Two lines, make sure you are standing next to the person that should be next to you. Show me you are ready to go by facing the front, no voice, eyes on me. If someone is talking give them the finger to lips gesture as a reminder. Walking on sidewalk in lines No swinging on poles Quiet voices while walking VOICE = 1 Behind person in front of you When we stop VOICE = 0 again

Waiting Outside in Line for Class to Begin Quietly waiting Staying in your own space Calm body Showing hands and feet to yourself Using kind words Stand in a line Hold property (coats, backpack) safely to self

VOICE = 0 Reading Groups Computers Log in. Raise your hand if you need help. Play the game until you get to the green light. Check workstation box when you are done. Spelling – Check workstation box DOL – Check workstation box Quiet reading – Check workstation box If teacher is working with a group, NO QUESTIONS until after group is complete.

VOICE = 0 Stop Sign Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat Raise your hand for permission to speak. THINK!!! No bathroom trips No drinks Listen to instruction

Bathroom VOICE = 0 Go to the bathroom during recess!!! No bathroom 15 minutes after recess. Flip card to your name One student at a time Use bathroom because you need to Push chair in before going to bathroom Go to bathroom in a timely manner Walk to the bathroom Quietly walk out and into the classroom without disrupting students’ learning Quickly return from bathroom to complete work

End of Day All student materials in the right place Organize your desk Placing everything in the appropriate places Chairs on desk and things in desk or side bingplaced neatly Throw away your own trash Keep your space clean and organized for the next school day Chair Patrol – Jessica Lunch Menu - Taishaun Custodian – Payton Lunch Tub – Hailee and Maya
