Constructing Slides Select Blank Presentation Choose Layout Select Slide View Add text, graphics, etc.
Selecting Background Think about who will be viewing the slides Think about what is being presented Backgrounds that are too busy detract from detailed presentations Very light backgrounds with dark letters can be difficult to read from a distance
Adding Text Insert new slide Click mouse on Title to type in title Use New slide option from either tool bar or insert menu Click mouse on Title to type in title Click mouse on text box to type in text Click mouse outside of highlighted area to leave area
Adding Clipart to Slides Insert new slide with clipart option Double click to add object Use insert menu to select clipart Highlight a picture and select insert.
Changing the Size of Objects Highlight desired object Move the curser to a corner of the object Depress mouse button and hold it down Drag to center to decrease size Drag to outside to increase size
Moving Objects Highlight the desired object Move the curser to the side of the object Depress the mouse button and move the object to the desired location
Slide Color Schemes Select Slide Color Scheme from the Format menu Select desired option Select desired color for option Click OK Click Apply
Internet Links Type in the desired text Select the World link option from the tool bar Enter the desired internet link Click OK
Creating Slide Shows Slide transitions Select Slide Transition from Slide Show Menu Select desired transition Apply to slide Apply to all slides Slide Animation Select Slide Animation from Slide Show menu Select desired animation Click OK
Printing Options Individual slides Three or Six slides to a page Outline Save as RTF and Print as an MSWord document
