Additional Build Event for Teams Stuck on Science Theme announced March 29 3 team members 1 parent as assembly location! Please have your students read the event rules and decide if they would like to participate. I need names of those interested by Wednesday, March 23. Participants will then have a week to plan and then get me a list of the Duct tape colors and number of rolls they need. I may be sending an email asking you to donate one roll of duct tape for this event.

Additional competitive events on Friday Buoy Oh Buoy Written portion of test… mathematical calculations Hands on stations….calculations of density, buoyance, lifting force Amazing Mechatronics…..These students are the varsity team members who competed in the event at the regional tournament last Saturday.

Additional Saturday Event Experimental Design: 3 student team, walk-in round 1-2. Design and test experiment using given materials.

Opening Ceremonies Friday, March 21

Coaches Please contact your students and make arrangements to meet. Review their regional event…what did they not know, what do they need more work on? Streamline their notes, etc. If your team has a new partner, give him/her a copy of the materials, rules and ONE assignment. Find one part of the event that needs a bit more research. The substitute should not be expected to memorize everything. Give them tasks that will benefit both members of the team! Email me any practice/coaching sessions you schedule. I will put them on the wiki
