Presentation transcript:

You will be asked to complete 2-3 homework's from this menu. CREATE YOUR OWN HOMEWORK… If you have an idea of a homework that you would prefer to try, check with your teacher first and then go for it! STARTER A tag is an artist's signature. These are very popular and the simplest form of graffiti. The artist tags his or her name in spray paint or marker. Produce a TAG, using your name, on paper. Using the information above produce your own tag but in fabric, plastic or paints and attach onto a ready made fabric garment like a t-shirt or bag. To challenge yourself further make your own textile product using the graffiti theme and then attach your own fabric tag. Takeaway Textiles Homework- year 9 You will be asked to complete 2-3 homework's from this menu. The button rating suggests the difficulty or challenge the homework may offer. You should aim to complete at least ONE blue or red button task. HELP ZONE—If you need support with any of the tasks, Find Miss Graham in advance. Use homework club, Pinterest, Youtube, Google, Local library, School Library, Books, Magazines to help with your research. WHAT’S ON OFFER? MAIN Reverse Graffiti "Reverse graffiti" refers to cleaning dirt off of the sides of buildings to make a design. Sort of like writing "Wash Me" on a dirty car, but on a much larger scale. This selective cleaning has been used by artists like Alexandre Orion as well as companies such as Xbox. Produce your own ‘reverse graffiti work’ on paper. Stencils are one way artists create a complicated piece of art quickly (Banksy works like this) By making a stencil of the artwork and filling it in with spray paint, the artist can make a nearly perfect image in a short time. Create a stencil of your face and print onto fabric or paper. DESSERT GRAFFITI TODAY has several current uses, and more innovative styles are popping up every day. Graffiti has become a part of American popular culture. Brands like Nike have incorporated graffiti into their products. Research into how NIKE have used graffiti in their products. Easy Research into the use of graffiti art in the fashion world. Create a visual mood board of fashion and graffiti from any era. This can be any size and using any materials, papers etc. Medium Difficult
