A Growing European Litter Prevention Network Presented by Alheid von Bothmer (programme manager)

The Clean Europe Network What we do: Share experience, expertise, best practice and research with a view to improving litter prevention across the EU Develop common programmes/methodologies in areas where there is added-value in a European approach Launched in March 2013 in the presence of Commissioner Potočnik A reach of 20 million European citizens

Clean Europe Network Members a joint platform of Fost Plus and OVAM

A litter free Europe by 2030 Vision and Mission Reached by Changing behaviour and reducing litter at all levels within Europe Stimulating greater litter prevention activity - focusing particularly on younger generations Encouraging the application of greater resources to this end in EU Member States and across wider Europe

Litter Pathways to the Aquatic Environment and Litter Pathways to the Aquatic Environment & Reduction Measures A tookit to help local authorities to identify local litter sources in local environments. Currently pre-piloted in Norway, Sweden, Holland & Spain

What’s next? The Clean Europe Network is a young organisation at European level, bringing together 16 leading European litter prevention organisations Exchanging best practice & developing more tools to increase litter prevention. Engage European organisations and encourage the creation of litter prevention activities in member states where there are none.
