The origin of the course concept Evolutionary approach Initially classic course on directions and methods in researching entrepreneurship Feedback from the market: The needs of clients are different PHD students lack entrepreneurial attitudes and skills which results in the inefficient PHD proces and high failure rate There is a striking similarity between launching a successful business venture and writing and defending PHD thesis.

Workshop objectives Apply the key concepts of entrepreneurship to writing a PhD thesis- „entrepreneurial PhD process” Improve efficiency and shorten the process of writing and defending PHD thesis but also Identify potential links between participants’ research interests and entrepreneurship field Encourage choosing of entrepreneurship topic as a subject for PhD thesis

Course objectives Methods 1. Primary Applying the entrepreneurial processes and best practices for efficient writing and defending PhD thesis A unique concept off „entrepreneurial PhD process” will be presented. Candidates will be equipped with a set tools enhancing the efficiency the crucial phase – developing the viable PhD concept. 2. Secondary Identifying the entrepreneurship concepts, research methods, etc., relevant to the relevant to the interest of a PhD. PhD candidates will receive the entrepreneurship literature relevant to his/her core PhD subject. Several empirical research projects will be presented where PhD candidates can join.
