Estimating Non-Perfect Squares Tiles and Number Line

Perfect Squares! Using the graph paper, draw each of the perfect squares associated with the given side length and fill in the table. Rational Numbers Make a number line at the bottom of your paper showing the square roots of each perfect square. Include the perfect squares in radical form!

Non-Perfect Squares! Using the perfect squares and number line we just drew, estimate each of the following roots of the non-perfect squares and fill in the table. Irrational Numbers How does our estimate relate to our graph paper squares activity? So let’s get that activity out so we can compare! Be sure to place each of square roots of the non-perfect squares on the number line at the bottom of your paper.
