John 3:16-21  16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

John 3:16-21 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

John 3:16-21 19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.

John 3:16-21 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Jesus: Love, Life, Light John 3:16-21

Three Huge Subjects Love Life Light

Love: John 3:16-21 The initiative in all salvation lies with God The mainspring of God’s being is love The width of the love of God God loves each one of us

A SINNER MAY GO TO HELL UNSAVED, BUT HE CANNOT GO TO HELL UNLOVED.

Life: John 3:16-21 Eternal The life of God “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” John 3:36

“Whoever believes in him is not…” Condemned

Things Condemned: They cannot fulfill the function they were created for. They are not safe – people must be kept away from them. They are slated for complete demolition. They are beyond “fixing up.” This is our condition before Christ comes.

“Pardon is not pardon until accepted”

Light: John 3:16-21 “And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

Some will never come to the light Some are hardened like a walked-down path. Some are shallow like the rocky soil. Some are concentrating on the world so much the seed cannot last in the thorns, thistles, brambles and weeds. Happily, some are good soil. (Matt. 13- Parable of the Sower and the Seed)
