EQ # 2 ANSWER The Silk Road was a network of trade routes. These routes crossed over the whole continent of Asia. The Silk Road became a highway for goods, ideas, knowledge, skills and religions. Camel caravans carried riches like silk, spices and jewels from central Asia to India, the Middle East and Europe. Eventually, the Silk Road was connected to water routes in the Indian Ocean and Mediterranean Sea
