The Early Life Marco Polo was born in Venice, Italy in 1254His father was a wealthy merchant He is best know as a famous explorer He was only 17 when he went on his first voyage

Marco Polo Travels Marco Polo traveled to China It took him three years to get there He joined with the Kublai Kahn government as a diplomat He was there for 20 years

Going Home Marco Polo wanted to go home Khan was not happy In order to leave, he had to escort a princess to Persia
