Magic City Soccer Parent Meeting September 29, 2016

Important Dates for Spring League League play begins April 1st (U13 and up) League play begins April 15th (U12 and below) Mandatory practices begin mid March, with some teams choosing to start earlier Magic City Classic- April 29 & 30 State Cup- Memorial Day Weekend Showcase- June 17-18 Presidents Cup- June 13-19, Salt Lake City, UT Regionals- June 20-26, Seattle, WA

TRYOUT DATES BOYS- 2003, 2004, 2005 October 17 & 18 from 5:15-6:30 Play-up requests due by October 4th GIRLS- 2003, 2004, 2005 October 24 & 25 from 5:15-6:30 Play-up requests due by October 11th

New Age/Team Divisions We will hold try-outs & form teams in these divisions U12’s- 2005’s U14’s- 2003’s U16’s- 2001’s U18/19’s- 1998’s All players in the age range will try out together and teams will be formed placing the strongest players on the top team, the next group on the 2nd team and so on.

Play-up’s Players will be required to try out with both the older age group and the age appropriate team. Coaches will observe the player at tryouts to determine if he/she is among the prospective starters for the next age level team and one of the strongest players of the age appropriate team.

Play-up’s U14’s requesting to play-up will be required to attend both the October try out and the November try out dates. Rosters will be posted after U16 and up tryouts have been complete in mid-November.

Your kid’s success or lack of success in sports does not indicate what kind of parent you are. But having an athlete that is coachable, respectful, a great teammate, mentally tough, resilient and who tries their best is a direct reflection of your parenting. Author Unknown
