THE ONLY ACCESS FOR SUNLIGHT INTO THE TABERNACLE WAS THROUGH THE MAIN DOOR OPENING, FACING EAST. THE LAMP OF GOD WAS REKINDLED AFTER THE SUN HAD PASSED ITS ZENITH [BETWEEN 2PM and 3PM] WHEN IT BEGAN TO GO DARK IN THE TABERNACLE. THIS WAS FOLLOWED BY THE OFFERING OF THE EVENING SACRIFICE. THIS MARKED THE FIRST EVENING. THE SECOND EVENING WAS WHEN THE SUN WENT BELOW THE HORIZON THE PASSOVER HAD TO BE SACRIFICED ''BETWEEN THE TWO EVENINGS.''
