Jesus Called Twelve Apostles During His mortal ministry, the Savior called, ordained and commissioned twelve Apostles. He conferred priesthood keys upon them, and they received a witness of His divinity. Under the Saviors' direction the Apostles helped govern the work of the Church and were prepared for the time when he would no longer on the earth.

Matthew 18:23-35 1 talent=76lbs of gold Gold = $1400/oz 10,000 talents = $1trillion+ If you were to pay $10,000/day ($3.6million/year) it would take 10,958 years to pay this debt. Starting on the day Adam and Eve walked out of the Garden, you’d still owe about $180 billion. 100 pence = $4000

Questions of the Day: What has helped you forgive others? How do you know if you’ve fully forgiven someone?

Forgiving Others: Joseph Genesis 45:1 Joseph sent the Egyptians out. If you have forgiven completely, you don't gossip. “Gossip dies when it hits a wise person’s ears…” Genesis 45:4 Joseph asked his brothers to draw near. If you've forgiven, you make your offenders feel comfortable in your presence Genesis 45:5 Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither.    You don't seek revenge. Genesis 45:9 (go tell dad) As you forgive others, you’ll seek healing in the lives of everyone that was involved in the incident.

“The Merciful Obtain Mercy,” Ensign or Liahona, May 2012, 77. “Remember, heaven is filled with those who have this in common: They are forgiven. And they forgive” “The Merciful Obtain Mercy,” Ensign or Liahona, May 2012, 77.

Elder Robbins, BYU Education Week 2017, “Be 100% Responsible” “Like any couple, my husband and I have had disagreements during our marriage. But one incident stands out in my mind. I no longer recall the reason for our disagreement, but we ended up not speaking at all, and I remember feeling that it was all my husband’s fault. I felt I had done absolutely nothing for which I needed to apologize. As the day went by, I waited for my husband to say he was sorry. Surely he could see how wrong he was. It must be obvious how much he had hurt my feelings. I felt I had to stand up for myself; it was the principle that mattered. As the day was drawing to a close, I started to realize that I was waiting in vain, so I went to the Lord in prayer. I prayed that my husband would realize what he had done and how it was hurting our marriage. I prayed that he would be inspired to apologize so we could end our disagreement… Elder Robbins, BYU Education Week 2017, “Be 100% Responsible”

Elder Robbins, BYU Education Week 2017, “Be 100% Responsible” “As I was praying, I felt a strong impression that I should go to my husband and apologize. I was a bit shocked. I had done nothing wrong and therefore should not have to say I was sorry. A thought came strongly to my mind: “Do you want to be right, or do you want to be married?” I decided it was more important to have a happy, loving marriage than to keep my pride intact over something that would later seem trivial. I went to my husband and apologized for upsetting him. He also apologized, and soon we were happy and united again in love. There is power in the expression “I’m sorry” when it is used with love unfeigned and empathy—not merely to excuse ourselves.” Elder Robbins, BYU Education Week 2017, “Be 100% Responsible”

Woman taken in adultery John 8 Did Jesus forgive her?

John 8 “He was directing the sinful woman to go her way, abandon her evil life, commit no more sin, transform her life. He was saying, Go, woman, and start your repentance; and he was indicating to her the beginning step— to abandon her transgressions” (The Miracle of Forgiveness [1969], 165).

“Stop it!” “This topic could actually be taught in a two-word sermon. When it comes to hating, gossiping, ignoring, ridiculing, holding grudges, or wanting to cause harm, please apply the following: Stop it!” President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, "The Merciful Obtain Mercy", General Conference, Apr. 2012 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-d_PIF-2Rg

Who can testify of this principle? “Splat!” “Let people repent. Let people grow. Believe that people can change and improve. If something is buried in the past, leave it buried. Don’t keep going back with your little sand pail and beach shovel to dig it up, wave it around, and then throw it at someone, saying, “Hey! Do you remember this?” Splat!” ― Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, BYU Devotional, Jan 13, 2009 Who can testify of this principle? When have you tried to love and forgive as the Lord does? How were you blessed for doing so?

Mark 8:22‑‑26. Look for what was what was so unique about this healing. Why spit? Mark 7-8

How might being healed gradually increase someone’s faith in Jesus Christ? 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 Principle? The promise is in 2 Corinthians 12:10 Mark 7-8
