Advantages Cost effective. Time effective. Easy to use with limited training. Highly accessible.
Disadvantages Not all customers yet have access to email. Not as personal as the telephone. Reliable upon the smooth running of machinery. Computer bugs can be passed on via attachments - “Love Bug”.

Pupils/Students Ease of contact with the teacher. Can contact other pupils - Group work and conferencing. Sending work home and to the teacher. Can be used in research.
Aspects to Consider Consider that not all pupils have adequate use of a PC. Only use when appropriate. Separate personal email from school. Don’t rely upon email as the only means of communication.
