OUR POLICIES NO CELL PHONES IN CLASS. Students are asked to please turn their phones OFF before class begins and put their phones in their pocket or their bag. If a student misses a class, the student is responsible for the material that was missed. We encourage each student to exchange contact information with a classmate. If they miss a lab, quiz or test, they must see Ms. Foster-Holzer or Mr. Travis ASAP to schedule a time to make it up.

DEPARTMENT GRADING POLICIES Homework will be assigned on a regular basis. Students will get a zero for missed homework. Homework should be written neatly or typed, and IN COMPLETE SENTENCES. Homework counts as 10% of the quarter grade.

DEPARTMENT GRADING POLICIES Quizzes may be announced, or they may be a surprise!  Quizzes count for 20% of the quarter grade.

DEPARTMENT GRADING POLICIES Labs are 10% of the quarter grade. In order to take the Regents Exam in June, students must complete the NYS mandated labs. Most labs require a lab report, which must be typed or written neatly in pen. Students received an outline for lab reports.

DEPARTMENT GRADING POLICIES Tests will be given several times a quarter. Tests are 60% of the quarter grade. Missed exams can be made up, only if a legal excuse for absence is provided. It is the student’s responsibility to coordinate makeup exams with Ms. Foster-Holzer or Mr. Travis.

EXTRA HELP EXTRA HELP is available everyday, during period 4-2, either with Ms. Foster-Holzer in room C-21 (outside the Library) or with Mr. Travis in room 139.
