Web Modules Each Friday, two web modules will be released. Tomorrow, Theme 1, Modules 1 and 2 will be released. The web modules can be reviewed as many times as you wish and will be available for the entirety of the term.

Web Modules Quizzes The web modules that are released each Friday will have an associated Web Modules Quiz. These quizzes will be available on LaunchPad. The quizzes will be due at 6:00am on the Wednesday following the previous Friday’s web modules released. You will have two attempts to complete each quiz.

Review Lectures (Thursdays) Thursday lectures will review the web module content that was released on the previous Friday. Review lectures will include videos

Applied Lectures (Fridays) Applied lecture content will explore current research and current discoveries that are associated with the web module content that was released on the previous Friday. Applied lecture content will compose approximately 33% of the questions on your midterms and final exam.

Labs Laboratory attendance is mandatory Check your solar schedule for your lab section time and place Please contact me in person by September 12th if you have a timetable conflict You must read the student lab manual and complete the pre-lab quiz before attending lab each week Where will you hand in your lab reports?

Biology 1A03 Lab Manual The Biology 1A03 lab manual can be purchased from the Undergraduate Biology Society in LSB 112 (Life Sciences Building).

Biology 1A03 Lab Manual Purchase – LSB 112 Thursday Sept. 4, 12:00pm to 4:00pm Friday Sept. 5, 12:00pm Monday Sept. 8, 12:00pm Tuesday Sept. 9 – Friday Sept. 13, 12:00pm – 2:00pm $10 Please bring exact change. No debit or credit accepted. Please bring your student card.

Labs You need a lab notebook, lab coat, goggles (or protective eyewear), and closed toed shoes to attend labs All of these items are available at The Campus Store

When do labs begin? Labs begin next week. Please refer to the lab manual and the course calendar for lab information and due dates.

When do labs begin? Please complete WHMIS 1A00 and HLH SCI 1BS0 before attending labs. WHMIS 1A00 and HLH SCI 1BS0 are health and safety courses that will be listed in your AVENUE course list.

Lab Reports Where are these boxes located? In the hallway outside of BSB 201A Please ensure that you submit your assignments to the CORRECT COURSE DROPBOX (look up) Failure to do so may will result in a deduction of 10% per day until the assignment is found

Pre-lab Quizzes Each lab will have a pre-lab quiz that will be available approximately 1 week before your scheduled lab and must be completed by 6:00am on the day before lab You will have 2 attempts to complete each quiz. The highest grade achieved will be the grade you receive. Please contact Alastair Tracey if you have problems with your online quizzes

Scheduling Please see Alastair Tracey in his office if you have schedule conflicts Do not contact the professors if you have missed a lab, quiz, or midterm, or know ahead to time that you are going to miss any of the aforementioned course work
