CHE 354 Chemical Reactor Design “In order to learn engineering you must do engineering.” Professor David Hart, Rust Engineering @ Adjunct Professor, UA and AU

Top 10 Study Suggestions Review text, notes, home work. Read problem statements for text examples, close book, and solve. Sketch the solution to every problem in chapters 1-3. Only allow 5 or 10 minutes per problem. Read the review sections of Kinetic Challenge 1 and 2, then play the game. Review Fogler’s chapter objectives and make certain you can meet them.

Read the summary notes and take the self test exercises. Read the web modules such as “Problem Solving Algorithm” and “Hints for Getting Unstuck on a Problem.” Look at the “Professional Reference Shelf,” “Living Example Problems,” and “Additional Homework Problems.” Review Fogler’s class web site including example exams. Take example Quiz 1 under test-like conditions (50 minutes, closed book). Repeat list if necessary!
