What do you know about Halloween?
What was Halloween? Halloween is an holiday that comes from the word: Hallow = Saint Was originally celebrated as a Christian holiday to celebrate martyrs. It was most popular in Ireland and Scotland originally. They believed the ghosts and witches were active during this day. By the 18th century it turned into a day of playing pranks, blaming them on the ghosts. Then when the Irish came to the United States, they brought the tradition.
What is Halloween Now? Halloween is a day when kids dress up in costumes and go door to door to get candy. People also carve pumpkins, watch scary movies, go to haunted houses, and go to corn mazes.

Halloween Poem Halloween is nearly here. I've got my costume planned. It's sure to be the most horrific outfit in the land. If you should see me coming you may scream and hide your head. My get-up will, I guarantee, fill every heart with dread. And yet, I won't be dressing as you might expect me to. I will not be a vampire or ghost that hollers "boo!” I will not be a zombie or some other horrid creature. No, this year I'll be much, much worse... I'm dressing as a teacher.
