Objectives of discipline The course "Strategies for Globalization and Sustainable Development" aims to study the history of the formation of the main assumptions and ideas of sustainable development; to familiarize students with the existing approaches and methods of transition to sustainable development in the world; on the development of students' skills in applying the principles and methods of analysis of specific situations in the world economy for sustainable development; on the formation of knowledge about the concept of sustainable development, the general objectives and basic principles of this area in the 21st century; the study of the concepts of sustainable development, the main ways of moving towards sustainable development at the global, regional and local levels; to explore ways to implement the principles of sustainable development in key sectors of social development; to become acquainted with the methods of communication in the process of discussing issues of sustainable development; the formation of a systematic, integrated approach to solving the environmental problems in the context of the common problems of social development.

To understand the variety of concepts and principles for ensuring the economic competitiveness in conditions of sustainable economic development. K 1.2. To know the various tools and techniques used in the analysis of sustainable development strategies K 2 K 2.1. It possesses the knowledge of building an efficient sustainable development of economic activities. K 3 3.1. The assessment of the impact of globalization, depending on environmental conditions and regional features. Abilities S 1 1.1. Using the acquired knowledge in the direction of sustainable development, with regard to the national and regional and individual enterprises. 1.2. Development of optimal business proposals and models of development, able to respond quickly to changing external and internal factors affecting the stability of economic development. S 2 2.1. The ability to propose valuable commitments and issues to be applied on different govenment policies to promote sustainable development 2.2. The ability to develop different governamental and individual programs on sustainable development. S 3 3.1. To assess the situation for adopting the best solutions in the field of sustainable development. 3.2. Development of strategic decisions aimed at improving the efficiency economic development under conditions of sustainable development. Competences C 2 2.1.The application of knowledge in the field of sustainable development to international business relations in order to increase the efficiency of cooperation between countries and to preserve a clean and safe environment 2.2. The implementation of the various evaluation methods to solve the environmental problems in the process of economic development C 3 3.1. The ability to analyze the economic situation from the point of view of the general patterns and trends of sustainable development. 3.2. Ability to develop strategies for sustainable development and respond to the risks arising in world economic system
