The Enfocus Switch and HP Configurators Enfocus Switch is one product within a family of workflow solutions from Enfocus. It is a modular and open solution that integrates and connects to third-party applications, linking everything together into a customized production flow. It allows to fully automate repetitive workflow tasks within a print shop. It is a cross platform solutions (Mac & PC) The Enfocus Switch functionality is expandable via “Configurators”. Enfocus enables vendors who wish to develop Configurators for Switch, an SDK that is designed to help integrate applications with Enfocus Switch. HP Indigo has developed 5 Configurators that enable to integrate into Switch: HP SmartStream Designer Variable Data Configurator HP SmartStream Designer Imposition Configurator HP SmartStream Designer Ganging Configurator HP SmartStream HP JDF Configurator for Production Pro HP SmartStream Production Center Configurator

HP SmartStream Designer VDP Configurator Use case & Benefits Incorporate into a switch flow an automatic generation of VDP files using a pre-defined SmartStream Designer templates By getting a database file (e.g. ‘.txt’, ‘.csv’), a VDP file is automatically generated according to the Configurator settings while the rest of the flow continues automatically. Configurator parameters Enables to define: Output Format, Output Type, Imposition, Skip Rows, Split Output, Template Folder Location etc. Pre Requisite HP SmartStream Designer 5.5.1 or above Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit installed

HP SmartStream Designer Imposition Configurator Use case & Benefits Incorporate into a switch flow an automatic imposition of PDF files using a pre-defined SmartStream Designer imposition templates An incoming PDF file that passes through the Imposition Configurator is being automatically assign with Imposition Parameters. Configurator parameters Enables to define: Paper Size, Imposition Template, Crop to, Bleed etc. Pre Requisite HP SmartStream Designer 5.5.1 or above Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit installed

HP SmartStream Designer Ganging Configurator Use case & Benefits Incorporate into a switch flow an automatic ganging of multiple PDF files using a pre-defined SmartStream Designer imposition templates. The PDF files can be in different page size. For optimal workflow and minimal paper waste make sure that the number of pages is identical in all PDF files. Configurator parameters Enables to define: Output Format, Output Type, Imposition, Skip Rows, Split Output, Template Folder Location etc. Pre Requisite HP SmartStream Designer 6.2 or above Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit installed

HP SmartStream Production Pro Configurator Use case & Benefits Automate job setting on SmartStream Production Pro Print server through JDF. Pull information from job coming from upstream applications (e.g. W2P). Configurator parameters Enables user to define: job name, # of copies, substrate, destination press, duplex/simplex, color mode etc. Pre Requisite SmartStream Production Pro Print server Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.5 or higher installed

HP SmartStream Production Center Configurator Use case & Benefits Automate job setting on SmartStream Production Center through JDF. Pull information from jobs coming from upstream applications (e.g. W2P). Combine with SmartStream Production Pro JDF Configurator for additional automation. Configurator parameters Enables to define: Plan name, Due date, Priority, Customer information, # of copies, Custom properties etc. Pre Requisite SmartStream Production Center Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.5 or higher installed

Sample Flow HP SmartStream Designer VDP Configurator HP SmartStream Designer Imposition Configurators HP SmartStream HP Production Pro Configurator Files are fetched from FTP, Hot Folder or Mail. If the file is PDF > directed to the best fitted Imposition Configurator If the file is DB > generate a VDP using the VDP Configurator All jobs are drained into JDF Configurator, which outputs a JDF file to the Production Pro’s JDF hot folder
