General car safety rules for kids :-

A child can travel in front seat of the car but its safe to keep them in the back to minimize the accidental chances.

It's not safe to buy used car seat for babies as you can't say whether it is defective from overall looks.

As per studies most of the kids related accidents happen in short trips to nearby places or neighborhoods where parents are unknowingly left the car fasten seat belts properly.

Always make sure to try different child seats to know which one fits well to your car.

:- Check the harness of the seat-belt whether is is firm or not.

:- Check the belt harness straps whether it fits well and secures correctly the kid or not.

Also check the harness buckles and belts whether they fits properly or not.

Kid up to Age 2 :- Rear-facing car seat The kids up to age 2 should be buckled in rear-facing car seat in the back.

Age limit from 2-5 : Rear facing car seat The kids should be buckled up in back seat up-to 5yrs of age and the seat selection should be done as per owner/s manual.

As a parent you make sure to entertain them which make the time pass more quickly as well as buckle them up for a safe drive.

If you are planning a plain or train journey, then make sure to take your kids booster seat with you.

As a responsible motorist take a break in every 2hrs and let the kid take some freshen up time while traveling a long distance in car.
