Procedures of the Activity: Aim: To identify the kinds of Festivals Activity: Jigsaw – What Kind of Festivals? Duration: 5 minutes Procedures of the Activity: 1- The teacher asks the students to identify 5 different festivals by Jigsaw game, the teacher cuts each picture into 5 parts and each part of same picture is put in different 5 envelopes. It means each envelope contains one part of each of the 5 pictures. Therefore each student in the groups holds one part of from the envelope. The teacher now asks each student to find other parts of the pictures s/he holds in other 5 groups to be a member in a new group. 2-The teacher presents to the students the following instructions: Use the part of the picture you hold and search for the other parts in other groups. Consider that every group has only one part of the picture to complete your part. Then reorder the parts of the picture with the new group members sharing with you the same picture and stick them on an A3 paper provided to you and sit all together in a group. When all finished, write under the picture in the A3 paper which festival does your picture represent. 3-The teacher asks all the groups to stick their A3 paper containing name of their festival under the correspondent pictures that they fixed. 4-The teacher then will introduce the new lesson about the different kinds of the festivals.
