Eldene Nursery and Primary School - Homework Activities Year 2 Term 1 Practise doing up your shoe laces with an adult. Read at least 5 times a week. Get going on RM easimaths every week to practice those maths skills. Maths Challenge Go on a walk in Swindon. Make a list of the sights and sounds you discover. Bake a cake or some bread with an adult. Write down the recipe. Count forwards and backwards in 2, 5 and 10. Do your phonics homework each week. Research a famous city. Create a leaflet or poster about it. Design a new postage stamp. Create a 2D city shape picture, label the shapes and describe them. Spot and talk about different types of vehicles when you are out and about with your family. During Term 1 our topic will be ‘Bright Lights, Big City’. Please enjoy choosing 6 out of the 8 activities above to complete with your child. Please return any completed homework by Monday 9th October. We will be sharing homework in class and assembly.
