Nigeria Satellites 3 EO satellite NigeriaSat1 decommissioned in 2011 NigeriaSat 2 still in Orbit with 2.5 (panchromatic, 5 (4 Bands) and 32m (4 Bands) NigeriaSat-X 22m (Red, Green,Blue, Infrared) NigeriaSat2 and NigeriaSatX are still in orbit and campaigning data

The Ground Receiving Station This has a data storage system apart from capability to receive and download It processes data from raw to the final stage N2 & NX N1 7.2m Dish Keystone and Smart-I software

N2 Data Product processing L0 (Raw data) L0R (Radiometric correction per channel of L0) L1 -VHRI (Spectral channel combination of L0 leading to PAN sharpened colour) L1-MRI (Spectral channel combination of L0 leading to composite colour picture) L1R (Radiometric correction of combined channels) L1G (Geometric systematic correction of L1 and L1R) L1T ( Additional geometric correction of L1G using DEM and GCP) L2A (L1G VHRI products Area scene processing) L2S (L1G VHRI and MRI products Stereo scene processing

On-board Storage 4Bands 22mb each 1.2m KG sq. Low rate S-Band 8MBps. 2 x 2Gbyte data recorders

Practical Example with pixels Over 2427 Tiles of 22.5 MB, = 54,607.5 mb or 54.6 GB 54.6 x 4 =218,430 MB or 218.4 GB

Data Management and NGDI Has Data Storage in TB that has never been filled Working with Pink Matters in SA for automatic processing and flexible storage systems that will allow expansions in storage- Petabyte NGDI storage running in TB Small Disk firms within some departments

Advance Computation Laboratory Cluster system High level processors Over 100 TB storage Small Cluster system for Meteorological and EO processing simulations

Other Facilities for Processing and Storage NASA ground station in NCRS with it storage in TB The Servers across the country with GIS and Image processing software in our laboratories and some Universities especially the First Eight we collaborated with

Dissemination Bucket Approach- poor FTP from Surrey Satellite Technology – poor Pink Matter Console – before the end of 2017
