Nixietta Williams Recording Secretary

Introduction To: Bishop Clement W. Fugh, Presiding Prelate of the Fifth Episcopal District; Mrs. Alexia B. Fugh, Episcopal Supervisor; Dr. Willie Glover, Connectional Lay President; Connectional Officers; Mr. Simeon Rhoden, President, Fifth Episcopal District Lay Organization; Fifth District Lay Officers; Presiding Elders; Pastors; Clergy; Delegates; Visitors and Friends Greetings, my brothers and sisters in Christ. The Lord has allowed us to gather one more time. This has been a very busy year for our district and we have conducted a lot of business via conference calls and I have the minutes from all of those. We were excited to meet our new Bishop and to establish a great relationship from the beginning. We have worked diligently to share the new theme, scriptures, colors and goals for the district presented by Bishop Fugh by relaying the info to our conference and local lay organizations. As I complete the last year of this current term as Recording Secretary, I have been busy compiling all of the minutes and reports onto one flash drive. This is much easier to carry than all of those papers and it’s reducing our carbon footprint on the environment. I do plan to run for another term as the Fifth District Lay Recording Secretary and after that I feel I will be prepared to run for an office on the connectional level. It has been my pleasure to serve you these last four years and I hope I have represented the district well. May God continue to bless and keep you.
