What is Reflections? Within Reach The Reflections Program is a National PTA and Washington State PTA cultural arts competition. The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works. Students showcase their interpretation of this year’s theme: Within Reach through the category(ies) of their choice...

How Does it Work? Decide which category you would like to create something for. Fill out the small form with your name and your choice(s) and give to your teacher ASAP! You will receive your official entry form and rules for your category within a day or two. Think about what the theme “Within Reach” means to you. Create something!! Take your time and do your best work. Turn in your project to the box at the front office by November 13 at the LATEST. Make sure you follow ALL of the rules listed so your project is not disqualified.

Then What Happens? Once you have turned in your project – RELAX! Be proud of yourself for participating in this awesome program. Local community members will judge all projects and decide which projects move on to the Renton School District competition. Those that win at the district will be sent to the Washington State competition. Those that win at WA State will be sent on to the National comptition. Your work could go up against work from ALL across our country! A Maplewood Heights student won a National Award for his film production last year!!

The Most Important Things: Do your BEST work. Take your TIME. HAVE FUN!!!
