Livvi’s Place Ryde This flip book has been created to use as a learning tool to teach children what to expect when playing at Livvi’s Place. We aim to: Aid them in communicating with yourself and other children when at the park; Provide options to help make play fun and easy; Highlight the benefits of going to the playground such as having fun and making new friends.

Come Play with us at Livvi’s Place Ryde

The Playground

equipment to choose from. When I get to the playground I go through the gate and close it behind me. I can see all the different equipment to choose from.

If I need help choosing I can look at the pictures in this book. WHAT TO PLAY WITH If I need help choosing I can look at the pictures in this book.

If I need help, I can ask my Mum, Dad or my helper and they will show me what to do.

USING MY WORDS When I see other children at the park I can say or sign hello. If a friend comes up to me to say hello, I will say hello back.

MAKING FRIENDS Playing with other children is fun! I can look at my friend and tell them my name. I could say “Let’s play” or “check this out”.

STAYING SAFE I will remember to: Always know where my Mum, Dad or my helper is Stay inside the gate Use my words if I feel sick or a bit worried

If I feel upset or worried I can tell my Mum, ASKING FOR HELP If I feel upset or worried I can tell my Mum, Dad or helper.
