Dynamic variations in white and colored light can help maintain the patient’s circadian rhythm, which maintain normal sleep patterns and may optimize therapeutic efficacy.

CIRCADIAN RHYTHMS In the morning, short wavelengths of blue light cue the body to produce Cortisol, Serotonin and other hormones and neurotransmitters that cause blood pressure to increase and body temperature to rise. In the evening, the body responds to darkness and longer wavelengths of red light by producing the hormone Melatonin and dropping the blood pressure in preparation for sleep.

Slips and falls are a leading cause of unintentional injury in the US Slips and falls are a leading cause of unintentional injury in the US. Which can lead to increased patient stay duration and possible lawsuits. Incidents can be avoided by proper night lighting and locating switches within reach or on touch or occupancy sensors. Use Amber to Red light for night lighting.
