“July, 1587, a group of Englishmen landed on Roanoke Island what is now North Carolina. Their leader was John White.”

1588 John White sailed to England for supplies.

1590 John White sailed back to Roanoke.

When John White returned the Roanoke the colony was gone.

Then Captain John White found a sign that said Croatoan.

All the houses were taken down.

What happened to the colonists is that they went to Croatoan trip and the Croatoan tribe killed them.

Captain John White went to the Croatoan tribe and asked them if they seen the colonists.

The chief said , “No, no, we didn’t see any colonists around here.”
