Verification Stations BMA CCAT Project v1.3 10/09/2018 Verification Stations © Mine Site Technologies 2012

Verification Stations Personnel and Vehicle Verification Stations are installed on the mine surface so that people and vehicle operators can confirm that their tracking tags are properly assigned and functioning correctly. There are several reasons why your tags must be assigned and working properly: Location and identification of personnel and vehicles in the event of an emergency To ensure there is accurate tracking, and tracking history To provide accurate reporting

Verification Station components AeroScout Exciter (Personnel Verification Stations only): used to 'wake up' tracking tags when they are in the exciter's radio field. Wireless Access Point: used for detecting tags, then sending that information to the ICA Sign/Display: Positioned in an area that is visible to mining personnel and vehicles. ImPact Communication Appliance (ICA): The Sign Controller software module is included with the ICA, and controls the LED signs that display tag and phone details.

The tag verification process For Personnel Verification stations, the AeroScout Exciter transmits a low frequency signal to activate the tag in your CapLamp so it sends a beacon signal. The Wireless Access Point detects the beacon signal from the CapLamp Tag or Vehicle tracking tag, and then sends information about the tag to the Sign Controller software on the ICA. The Sign Controller software finds the details of the Tag and sends that information to the sign at the Verification Station. The Sign displays the tag information for you to view and confirm.
