Arkansas Cost Share Program This program is intended to provide financial incentives to encourage the removal of excess poultry litter from Arkansas’s nutrient surplus areas (NSA) This program is established by Act 532 of 2007, the “Surplus Nutrient Removal Incentives Act,” Arkansas Code §§ 15-20-1201 through 1206

Eligibility Transporter or Broker Move a Minimum of 100 tons From a Registered PFO Moved beyond the NSA and excluded area Litter sample no older that 3 mo End user agrees to apply according to recommendations (soil test-litter test-certified personnel)
Cost Share Rates .05 X 300 X 100 = $1,500 - 100 = $1,400 .05 per mile per ton (pays one way only) $1 per ton admin fee (taken off the top) Maximum of 300 miles or $15 per ton .05 X 300 X 100 = $1,500 - 100 = $1,400
