International HUMINT Week Vienna 19/March – 24/March/2017 Participation fee: 210 EUR shared room 290 EUR twin room The Cultural Impact on International Assignments Working in international teams, lectures, city walk, lunches, public transport and accommodation (incl. breakfast) for 5 nights for int. students included Nominations until 14/Dec./2016 www.fh-vie.ac.at

Preliminary Program Su 19/03: Arrival,19:00: welcome in the youth hostel Mo 20/03: 9:00: country presentations, working in international teams, input: „Expatriate Management“ Evening: Austrian Buffet Tue 21/03: Work session, city walk Wed 22/03: Input: „Expatriate Family, Dual Career Couples, Work- Life-Balance“, students evening Thu 23/03: Living Book Session – Talk to (former) Expats about their experiences, Work sessions until 17:00 Fri 24/03: Final preparations and presentations, Feedback, departure in the afternoon.

Pre Assignment / Grades Pre Assignment/Preparation To foster in depth discussions during work sessions we ask students to be prepared for the international week. Additionally we ask each group of an institution to prepare a short presentation (5 min) about your home institution and the study program. Grades: Students are assessed on the quality of their pre-assignments, presentations, and participation in the work groups and in the whole program.

Intercultural experience: Focus on intercultural learning: international work groups, teambuilding session Language: English level B2 at least “Country Tables”: food samples of each country to share Please tell your students to bring something to share

Costs Costs: €210,-- (shared rooms) / 290,-- (double bed rooms) Inclusive: accommodation (5 nights incl. breakfast), public transport in Vienna from Monday to Sunday, city walk, lunches (sandwiches & fruits), one dinner at the FH Exclusive: travel costs, some meals and personal expenses   Lunch breaks: 45 minutes, sandwiches, finger food, fruits, cold drinks     Free time: Tuesday after the city visit and on Thursday after the end of the work session at 17:00. Additional nights have to be organised and paid by the students themselves.

Accommodation Accommodation: Meininger Hotel Wien Downtown „Franz“ student hostel in the 2nd district, 20min from the UAS (15min by foot plus 5 min subway) No more than 6 beds per room Some double bed rooms available Rooms with shower/WC, hair dryer Flat screen-TV Fan Coil cooling system (not air conditioning) All rooms are non-smoking Access to rooms with key card system Bedding and towels included

The nomination deadline The students have to register online: Applications Please nominate your students and send the list directly to claudia.redtenbacher@fh-vie.ac.at Each institution can send 3 students. The nomination deadline is December 14th, 2016! & The students have to register online: I will send the link to your nominated students The online registration deadline is January 10th, 2017

Cancellation regulation: Until January 15th cancellations are free of charge. From 16/01 to 16/02 we invoice 30 % of the fee From 17/02 to 09/03 we invoice 50% of the fee From 10/03/ to 18/03 we invoice 80% of the fee From 19/03/17 to 24/03/17 we invoice 100% of the fee
