Demonstrate and apply knowledge of basic semiconductor devices US 26120 Demonstrate and apply knowledge of basic semiconductor devices 7 weeks (Term 1 Wk10, 11, 12 + Term 2 Wk1, 2, 3, 4)

Assessments Element 1 – Written Test (done) Element 2 – Construction of circuit(s) Element 3 – Report(s)

Element 2 Construct circuits to demonstrate the individual properties of basic electronic devices. 3 discrete devices (List A) 3 integrated devices (List B)

You are to build one or more circuits that demonstrate(s) the behaviour of each of the six devices. You must also verbally explain the behaviour of each device. all six devices in 1 circuit = Excellence in 2 or 3 circuits = Merit in more than 3 circuits = Achieved The circuit(s) must be a working circuit.

Element 3 Write a report on the construction and performance of the circuits you have built. For each circuit, you must show: The schematic (circuit diagram) A photo Codes if PICAXE is used Comments on the design/making Comments on the performance Comments on testing/debugging
