Panel – Innovating with SMEs Session – EGI Conf’15 Questions What is EUDAT’s strategy for engaging SMEs and Industry and why? In what area of your e-Infrastructure activities you would foreseen innovation generated by SMEs? (SME as creator of innovation for e-Infrastructures) What are the services/expertise from your e-Infrastructures that could be beneficial for innovating SMEs? (e-Infrastructure as creator of innovation for SME) Why is it important for your organisation to engage with SMEs? Follow-up: What is the top 2 benefits that SMEs/Industry can expect by engaging with e-Infrastructures? What are the current barriers for engaging with SMEs? As we’ve seen, EGI has a beta production version out of a pay-for-use service - Do you have any mechanisms for charging for services? Follow-up: Do all services need to be paid for? Will all be offered for free? Will a hybrid model be used? The use of multipliers are typically a good strategy for reaching SMEs, what innovation clusters (or similar) should be targeted?
