Review for Quiz on 10-13-17 Friday 7th Grade

1. Draw a typical plant cell and animal cell side by side and label each of these parts, cell wall, cell membrane, nucleus, cytoplasm, chloroplast, mitochondria. Some of the parts will only be one cell. Be sure to label all parts that are appropriate to each cell.

In budding a new cell is reproduce off the edge of the original cell and it has exactly the same chromosomes. This is asexual.

11. Describe or explain what plant succession means and where did we see this?

11. Plant succession is when one community of plants gives way to a new community. An example is when a grass community will become weeds and bushes. Think of the notes or drawing you made by the bus at the end.

12. What do the terms photosynthesis, chloroplast, and producer have to do with each other?

12. A plant is a producer because it makes its own food 12. A plant is a producer because it makes its own food. The photosynthesis occurs in the chloroplast. Photosynthesis is what makes a plant a producer.

13. You should be able to write out the basic steps for reproductive cloning.
