MHS Athletics Go Indians!

Sports for Athletes at MHS Fall Sports: Cross Country Football Boys and Girls Soccer Volleyball Winter Sports: Boys and Girls Basketball Swimming Wrestling Spring Sports: Track Softball Baseball Boys and Girls Tennis Boys and Girls Golf

Athletic Philosophy Our student-athletes will receive preparation for life beyond high school as a person, as a student, and as an athlete. The following reflect areas of development our athletic dept. will focus on. Academics, athletics, learning to compete, leadership, giving up for the greater good, discipline, work ethic, resiliency, development for the next level.

Academic Expectations All incoming Freshmen are eligible for fall sports. Students must have passed their classes the previous term. Student Athletes are expected to stay in good academic standing throughout the school year & stay on track to graduate.

Attendance Students who are absent for one or more periods in a day are ineligible to participate for the sporting events of that day- practice or competition. The only way to excuse an absence to be able to be participate in athletics is through a doctor’s note.

Drugs and Alcohol The possession or use of any controlled substance, alcohol, or tobacco products by a student is prohibited. This policy shall remain in effect during all summer months and vacation periods from school regardless of whether the student is currently participating in high school athletics or activities. This is in effect from the time a student first participates in a school-sanctioned sport or activity until the student graduates from high school.

Athletic Fees Athletic Fee Structure: Family Cap- $600 First sport- $175 Second sport- $175 Third sport- Free Family Cap- $600
