Stanford Technology Ventures Program http://stvp.stanford.edu

STVP Mission The Stanford Technology Ventures Program is dedicated to accelerating high-technology entrepreneurship education and creating scholarly research on technology-based firms. STVP believes that engineers and scientists need entrepreneurial skills to be successful at all levels within an organization. The program prepares students for leadership positions in industry, academics, and society. In addition, STVP disseminates research and teaching knowledge throughout the world.

Number of Courses Offered Program Audience 5,000 science & engineering students at Stanford Number of Faculty 4 Regular Faculty & 8 Adjunct Faculty Number of Courses Offered 24 quarters of instruction per year

We are very excited about the STVP Educators Corner which provides extensive resources for entrepreneurship educators

Our biggest challenge is financial sustainability of the center. Many organizations prefer to invest in start-up activities. Now that our program is established, we have had to be very creative in developing a diversified portfolio of income sources.

STVP is working to establish a sustainable set of conferences around the world for entrepreneurship educators. To date, we have hosted seven conferences in the United States and co-hosted four conferences in Europe, two in Latin America, and one in Asia. We hope to institutionalize these conferences around the world.
