Recommended action steps Study my notes at least once a night until the next test. I will carry and use my notecards once a day by myself or with a friend/family member. Pursue help with schoolwork/homework from teacher, parent, or other adult when needed or when grades drop. I will attend tutorials once a week to stay current on missing work or low grades. I will take advantage of or seek out at least three extra credit opportunities before the next test. I will put my studying before my entertainment (prioritize/put first things first). I will increase my participation in class by asking at least one content related question every day. I will separate myself from distractions in class. I will complete my cornell notes every night and not wait until journals are due. I will form a study group with at least two other classmates and meet at least once a week between now and the next test.

Test Analysis Instructions Highlight the 10 most missed questions on your TEST and your TEST ANALYSIS HANDOUT – you will work on these 10 questions first. You need to have out your NOTES and NOTECARDS! Follow the script for EACH question – do ONE question at a time. NO, you may not work alone. Every 5 questions, both partners must bring their paper to the teacher so I can grade it. DO NOT MOVE ON until I have checked your answers for every 5 questions. You are ONLY speaking with your analysis partner, DO NOT speak to other table to share answers. That is cheating and all persons involved will receive a 0 for a test grade. All conversation needs to be about your test – this is your chance to figure out what you don’t get. These questions will show up again on a Most Missed Quiz, the next Unit Exam, and possible the STAAR test. They will never go away. If you did poorly on the exam, you have a chance of getting back points! WHAT!?! That’s awesome! If you made a 100 originally, and a 100 the second time – you will receive a 105! If you score lower on the Test Analysis – you will keep that grade in addition to your previous grade.
