Rewarding good behaviour. House System Rewarding good behaviour.

Why a House System? To create an even stronger school community that all children, staff, parents and governors feel they actively belong to. To allow children from different year groups to work closer together. To introduce a simplified rewards system. To further recognise and reward children for performance in and beyond the classroom. To reward children for exceptional community work and charity efforts. To develop regular opportunities to stretch and explore leadership, social and group working skills with children from different year groups.

What will it look like at our school? A School Cup will be awarded each year to the House that accumulates the highest number of tokens over the school year. Half Term awards will be presented at the end of each Half Term to the House who has the most tokens. Individual children will also receive certificates at the end of each half term based on the total number of tokens they have gained. Tokens will be awarded for many things in school such as behaviour, working together, academic achievement, attendance, punctuality etc. Tokens will also be awarded based on the school values and children demonstrating; Trust, Transparency, Courage, Integrity, Belief and Honesty. Each House will have a name based on a theme.

How will I be awarded tokens for my house? You can be awarded tokens for many different reasons, there are four main areas that you can be awarded tokens for: Positive Behaviour Academic Achievement Working Together Sport and community What do I do with my token? You will take your token, at a convenient time, and drop this in your House tube in the reception area. If you are awarded with a token you will let your class teacher know, they will record this for you.
