Creating New Rate Dates Enter the End Date on the existing Valid Booking and Run Date File menu, Select New Run Dates. (Cannot overlap with End Date) Enter the New Valid Booking and Run Dates Start Date will reflect the date the new rate starts End Date will reflect the future date

Creating New Rate Dates cont. Adding New Rate Dates for Complex Rating purposes Customer contract specifies different rates based on number of weeks in a month New Rate Dates created by grouping months together by number of weeks in the month and attaching the applicable rate

Associated Rates- Color Rate Table Tie a Color Rate from the Color Rates Tab to a Rate.

Associated Rates – Discount Rate Link Create a Discount Rate in Discounts tab On the Rate, select the Discount Rate from the drop down in Discount Rate Link In Adbooker, Select the Discount Rate from the Special Price Type drop down

Associated Rates – System Rate In a multi-company Database, create a Company specific System Rate on the Discounts tab and select as the default Associated Rates

Extending a Contract Rate – Grace Period In Contract Manager, Grace Period can be used to extend a contract rate without modifying the Contract Instance Dates. Contract Instance dates match the Start and End Dates of the Denver Post Standard Advertising Agreement Check the Grace Period End Date and enter the Date Set the Contract Status to Trial Period Closed Any Orders rated against the contract between the End Date and the Grace Period End Date are not counted towards contract fulfillment

Package Rates Advantages Packages can help accommodate the need to build several components to an order and provide single line item billing on the customer statement Ex: Print and digital sales program for a total package price of 10,000. The Ad Rate order and Internet order must be scheduled at the same time for the package to bill as a single item. Note: Flight groups with different dates may not roll up into the same Package line item On the open tree, DP lists Package Buy as the first attribute. Creating a Package and hanging the rate at the Package Buy level resolves the dilemma of having too many rates apply to the same positions In AdBooker, the Package Buy simplifies the scheduling of orders, because all the correct products, placements or schedules are selected making Ad Order entry more efficient resulting in accurate rating for all components. Packages can also be as restrictive or as flexible as needed per Sales for Ad Order Entry
