Welcome to JYM! What you have to do next.

The Checklist. You will receive an acceptance packet containing a formal letter of acceptance, payment information, and a Checklist. You must submit all the items listed on the Checklist by the deadlines indicated. The first item, the Acceptance Form, must be submitted by April 15th in order to confirm your place in the program. All other items are due by June 1st.

The forms. Many of the required items are forms that must be filled out and signed. They are all “fillable PDF” forms which should be filled out on a computer. You will need a standard office computer to fill out, sign, and submit the forms, preferably a Windows platform. You cannot do this with your phone!

Where are the forms? The forms are in GoogleDrive cloud storage. Louise Speed will send you an email with a link to the GoogleDrive where you can access and download the forms. Check your email regularly from now until the start of the program! All important communications are sent by email.

Signing the forms. You will need to create a signature image so you can sign the forms using the “Sign” feature in Adobe Reader. Instructions on “How to Sign the PDF Forms” are included with the forms on the GoogleDrive storage.

The “Application for Admission to the University of Munich” (Antrag auf Zulassung zum Studium) This form is most important. You are applying for admission to the LMU. Note that there are line-by-line instructions for this form included on the GoogleDrive. You may find it easier to print out the instructions first. Much of the information has already been filled in for you and many of the sections should be left blank, so follow the instructions carefully!

The official transcripts TWO official transcripts must accompany your application for admission to the LMU. You must order these to be sent to Louise Speed. Grades for the current semester must be posted on the transcripts. See the Checklist for more details.

The other items. Note that there are other items on the Checklist that you must submit as well as the forms and transcripts. All items are essential to your participation. Please check off each item as you submit it so you know you have done everything.
