Natural Disasters around the world. What is a natural disaster? A natural disaster is the effect of a natural hazard. There are many different types,
Earthquakes happen where Earth's plates meet. Most earthquakes happen under the sea. Where the plates stick, pressure builds up and then the earth shakes.
Volcanoes A volcano is a mountain that opens downward to a pool of molten rock below the surface of the earth. When pressure builds up, eruptions occur.
Earth quakes happen when a sudden release of energy is created in the earths crust and sends shock waves through the plates. These waves cause earth’s.

What is a tsunami? A tsunami is a wave that grows bigger every time one happens. A tsunami can effect a full country. Earthquakes can strike under the sea as well as land it can reach to 50-63 feet.

How it happens? A tsunami happens beneath the sea when an earthquake happens under the sea It can make people’s life's in great danger by making their homes out in sea.

Why it happens? A volcano/earthquake happens under the sea which shakes the templates which causes a big wave called a tsunami.

Where it Happens? A lot in Hawaii/Japan/Australia – Indonesia. But not always.

When it happens? When a tsunami is caused underneath the Earth and the plates shake it causes a shock wave it slows but it gets higher and then it finally breaks on to the shore.

Who? Hawaii /Haiti /Indonesia /Japan and Australia usually get it.
