The best novel Jane Eyre, published in 1847, is partly biographical. In 1849 the novel Shirley was published. The story is about the Luddits, workers who did not understand that the real enemy of the working class were the capitalists and aristocrats. They thought that machinery, which they destroyed, was their enemy. Charlotte Bronte died from tuberculosis in 1855.

Charles Dickens's books are read by all – by learned and simple, by rich and poor alike. He was buried in Westminster Abbey.

Jane Austen (1775 -1817) - English writer Jane Austen was a well-known British novelist and the author of several masterpieces. she wrote the famous novels “Pride and Prejudice”, “Sense and Sensibility” and some others. However these works for a long time remained only drafts and haven’t been published. The real name of the author never appeared on Jane’s books, although all her relatives and close friends knew who wrote them. In 1816 she was honored to receive the review on her novel “Emma” from Sir Walter Scott. Austen died in 1817 in Winchester. It was known that she suffered from Addison’s disease.

George Gordon Byron (1788 - 1824) Byron led extravagant life. He had numerous love affairs and scandals. Having married to Anne Isabella Milbanke ("Annabella") on 2 January 1815, Byron divorsed in 1816. Lady Caroline Lamb described him as “mad, bad, and dangerous to know”. In 1809 a two-year trip to the Mediterranean countries provided material for the first two cantos (the main divisions of long poems) of Childe Harold's Pilgrimage. Their publication in 1812 earned Byron instant glory.
