The Coast Miwoks By: Lauren Dempsky

This is where the Coast Miwoks live. They live in houses called Kotchas. Kotchas can be made out of tule. Kotchas were ment only for sleeping anything else was done outside.

These are some Miwok tools. One is called the mortar and pestle These are some Miwok tools .One is called the mortar and pestle .The mortar and pestle was used for mashing acorns, grass, flowers, and roots to make medicine. Another tool is a knife. The knife can be used as a weapon. Miwoks also use it for cutting food like deer and other meat. One more tool Miwoks use is the bow and arrow. They use it for hunting meat. Such as deer, rabbits, and birds.
