Rijeka - a city to remember Rijeka is port city situated between the sea and mountains. View on the Kvarner islands: Krk, Cres, Losinj and Rab. Name Rijeka means river. Rijeka has many fountains and brooks, streams. Rijeka Carnival is the third biggest carnival in the world after Rio de Janeiro and Venice. Rijeka has the Fiumanka, the June yachting regata. Rijeka is barok city, but Rijeka is known as a rock city, too.
